Club 45 is coming back!
Last year we introduced a new fellowship group designed for older elementary students: Club 45 (4th & 5th graders). Once again, Club 45 is returning for the 2015/2016 school year, and will meet once a month, typically from 4:00-5:30pm.
In September, we’re gathering on the last Sunday, September 27! Bring your bibles as we will be using them in a special scripture scavenger hunt!

Come for a very special service in honor of children and led by our young people! 3rd graders will also be receiving their bibles on this day! A special form will be given to parents of 3rd graders on Rally Day with more information.
September’s Mission of the Month is the Church General Fund.

You know that popular board game where you’re all supposed to guess “whodunit?” Well, we’ll be playing that, but instead of board game pieces, WE are the characters! So come prepared to “act out” your assigned character and see who the greatest sleuth of them all is!
**please note that due to Columbus Day Weekend, we will be meeting two weeks in a row (9/27 and 10/4)
…And get ready, as in the middle of October, we’ll once again have our “SPOOKTACULAR LOCK-IN!”

How To Be A Christian Without Being Religious
The Adult Bible Class has begun a study of Paul’s Letter to the Romans. As our guide we will be using the book How To Be A Christian Without Being Religious by Fritz Ridenour. The book will be provided at no cost. Why not begin the new church year with a commitment to spend your Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 studying God’s word? The discussions will be lively and interesting. The book is easy to read and even has cartoons. Many of the chapter titles are very intriguing. Here are a few examples:
Does God ever grade on a curve?
Are Christians…On Parole or Fully Pardoned?
Is your faith more than fire insurance?
How can ALL things work together for good?
The game Christians play too well.
The Sugar Grove Historical Society
is open the first Saturday of each month from 11 am to 2 pm. The Historical Society is also open every Tuesday from 1 pm to 4 pm. The Sugar Grove Historical Society is located on 259 Main St. in Sugar Grove. Come see the Sugar Grove Historical Society’s display at the Sugar Grove Public Library.
Men's Bible Study Group
The Men's Bible Study Group will be starting up again in October. Earlier this spring we studied the book "7 Promises of a Promise Keeper". Our next session, starting early October, we will be studying "Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood". Anyone interested please contact Rick Wojak at firstname.lastname@example.org.
